State Park
Rentals from the State Park are available twice per day at 10am and 2pm. The rental period is 3-hours. We also offer a longer rental, 10am-5pm. Cama State Park is about a 45-minute paddle one way, making it a great destination for those wanting to explore for a full day or even a quick 3-hour trip. For those wanting a more relaxed paddle, we suggest staying around the shores of the State Park.
A Discover Pass or a one-day pass is required for entry at the State Park. You can purchase one at Ace Outdoors on Camano or online at https://www.discoverpass.
Things to know
- Camano is located in the Puget Sound and there are tides and currents to navigate, so you need to be aware of your surroundings and physically capable in order to be on the water safely.
- Boat traffic around the State Park in the summer can be busy so it’s best to paddle close to the shore. All the best stuff is near the beach anyway!
- Currents can sometimes make it easy to paddle in one direction and tough when going in the other, so it’s best to know your limits and stay close to the shore, no matter where you plan to paddle.
- We monitor the weather daily and may adjust launches from the State Park when necessary.
- Please respect wildlife and stay at least 50 feet away from marine mammals and birds that you may encounter.
- Pack it in – pack it out. Please don’t liter and use a reusable water bottle instead of single use plastic when possible.
